Vahana- Revamping my own parking app design
Hello, dear readers! I’m thrilled to introduce you to an exciting project that has been quietly brewing for a while now. While my previous parking app was only a design concept, I’ve taken it upon myself to give it a decent makeover. With better visual effects, improved spacing, and a slew of exciting new features, it’s time to unveil my very own redesigned parking app design.
The journey begins...
Though my original parking app was never shared with the world, its spirit has been guiding me throughout this journey. The goal, as always, is to make parking easier and less stressful for everyone. Over the past year, I’ve been honing my design skills, listening to user feedback, and exploring areas for improvement. Today, I’m excited to present the evolution of that concept.
Spacing that breathes
One of the most significant aspects of a user-friendly app is spacing. I've meticulously rethought the app's layout, giving it room to breathe. You'll notice cleaner screens, better-organized information, and an overall more relaxed navigation experience. It's the kind of spacing that makes you think, "This is how parking should feel."

Now, let’s dive into the thrilling additions—the new features! I’ve channeled my design skills into creating features that will make parking even more convenient:
- Real-time traffic updates: Can stay ahead of the traffic with real-time updates that help reach the parking spot with ease.
- Spot sharing: Heading out with friends? You can now share your parking spot location with them directly through the app.
- Parking reminders: Ever struggled to remember where you parked? Those days are over! Set parking reminders, and the app will guide you back to your car effortlessly.
- Community reviews: Discover the best parking spots in town with community reviews and ratings. You can even contribute your thoughts and help fellow parkers.
- E-charging stations: Find parking areas with e-charging portals, which make life stress-free for electronic vehicle users. Going for shopping Book the spot > Charge > Shop > Start your vehicle with full energy again!
- Favorite vehicle: Save your favorite vehicle and start finding parking spaces in no time.
- Custom filters: Find parking slots with ease with filter options like distance, parking type, duration, open/closed, with security cam, pet friendly, availability, etc.

As I write this, I can’t help but smile at how much difference there is between my old and new designs. Redesigning my own app has been a labor of love, and I am so proud to share it with all of you.
